The words "OK everyone, time for some games!" can empty a room faster than a fire drill. The trick is picking games that are quick, need zero skill, and make people laugh before they've had time to escape to the bathroom.
Christmas parties at Clubhouse: golf, darts, platters and drinks from $79pp. See packages →
Here are 12 Christmas party games for work that people will actually play.
Mix classic Christmas questions with workplace ones like "Who has the most unread emails?" Play in teams so nobody gets put on the spot.
Everyone shares three Christmas stories. The team guesses which one is made up. You'll learn more about your colleagues than HR would like.
Pairs race to wrap an awkward object, like a basketball or a chair, using one hand each. Chaos guaranteed.
Play the first three seconds of a Christmas song. First team to name it gets the point. Mariah Carey will come up. Be ready.
Everyone brings a wrapped gift under a set price. Open a new one or steal someone else's. Friendships will be tested over a $20 candle.
Act out Christmas movies and songs. Watching the CFO do "Jingle Bell Rock" is worth the price of admission alone.
On a golf simulator, everyone gets one shot at a short par 3. Closest wins. It takes seconds per person and works for complete beginners.
Three swings each. The simulator measures every one, so there's no "it would have gone further if…".
Interactive darts keeps score automatically, so you can run a fast knockout bracket without anyone needing a calculator.
Teams rotate between golf and darts, adding up a combined score. Lowest team buys the first round, or does the January coffee run.
Level the playing field by making the best players throw with their other hand or swing one-handed. Watch the self-proclaimed pros crumble.
End the night by voting for the best and worst shots of the night. Prizes for both. The worst-shot trophy is always more coveted.
Both of our Christmas packages include hosted games and prizes, plus 2 hours of golf and darts, sharing platters and drinks. Our hosts run closest to the pin, long drive and darts challenges, so the organiser can finally sit down. Packages start from $79pp for groups of 8 to 150.

Quick, team-based games that need no skill: trivia, white elephant swaps, closest to the pin and darts knockouts.
Keep them short, use mixed teams, offer small prizes, and get a host so the organiser isn't stuck running everything.
No. Closest to the pin and long drive are made for beginners, and clubs are provided.
