Group celebrating with drinks at a Christmas party at Clubhouse Maroochydore

5 Reasons to Pick Clubhouse for Your Christmas Party (Before Someone Books the Back Room at the Pub Again)

Every December, someone in the office gets handed The Job: book the Christmas party. And every year, it ends the same way. A long table, a set menu, Gary from accounts telling the same story about his boat, and everyone checking their watch at 8:15.

Christmas parties at Clubhouse: golf, darts, platters and drinks from $79pp. See packages →

This year, don't be the person who booked the back room again. Be the person who booked Clubhouse.

1. Nobody has to make small talk for three hours

The secret to a good Christmas party isn't the food or the drinks. It's giving people something to do with their hands that isn't holding a warm beer and nodding.

At Clubhouse, your team gets 2 hours of golf simulators and interactive darts. Instead of awkward chit-chat, you get trash talk, high fives and the quiet bloke from IT revealing he's been hiding a 250-metre drive all year.

2. You don't need to be any good at golf. Honestly, it helps if you're not.

Half your team has never swung a club? Perfect. Our games are built for beginners: closest to the pin, long drive, and darts games where a first-timer can genuinely beat the person who "used to play a bit".

Clubs are provided (left-handed, ladies and kids sets included), and our hosts will show everyone what to do. Nobody gets left on the sidelines, except by choice, at the bar.

3. Someone else runs the games (and hands out the prizes)

Both of our Christmas packages come with hosted games and prizes. That means you, the organiser, get to actually enjoy the party instead of running around with a clipboard trying to work out who won the darts.

Our hosts handle the competitions, keep the scores and crown the winners. You just turn up and take the credit.

4. The maths is easy

Christmas party budgets are stressful enough without a mystery bar tab at 10pm. Our packages are one price per person:

5. It works for 8 people or 150

Small team of 8? Grab a couple of bays and make it a proper competition. Whole company of 150? We'll give you the run of the place. Either way, you're in the middle of Maroochydore on Ocean Street, with easy parking off Duporth Avenue and plenty of places nearby for the after-party.

The bottom line

Your team will forget the set menu by January. They won't forget watching the boss shank one into the virtual lake.

Prime Friday and Saturday dates in December book fast. Get in before the other departments do.
